Postprocessing
After the complete delta queue has been imported, it is important to start the postprocessing. To see if the import is already finished, there is the button "Refresh". By pressing this button the table of the delta queue is refreshed.
If the import was started recently, a truck symbol appears in the last column. This means that the request is currently being imported. If a yellow triangle appears in the last column after the update, the request has already been imported.
The postprocessing is started by pressing the button "Postprocessing". This button can only be pressed, if no running import was detected after the refresh. Up to two login windows may appear, depending on whether authorization for the QA worklist is required. The postprocessing restores the import queue from the backup made at the beginning of the import and displays it instead of the delta queue. The newest transport requests will be added by default to the queue. However this can be deactivated by a configuration parameter (NO_NEW_TRS_ON_QUEUE_RESTORE).
The postprocessing is of essential importance. If the rework is not carried out, problems will arise in future transports because the original import queue has not been restored.
With transaction /GAL/QCP_QCOPY_PP the report /GAL/QCP_QCOPY_POSTPROCESS can be started. This report can also be used after the QCopy session has ended to perform postprocessing for a particular target system.
