Automatic translation of text fields

All essential text fields managed in Conigma CCM can be translated automatically. This applies, for example, not only to text fields on Changes, but also to text fields on projects, project structure elements or releases.

For text fields that are not stored persistently in the Conigma CCM database, but have direct SAP equivalents, this functionality may not be available (e.g. for the SAP transport description, which can only be stored in SAP in one language).

Conigma CCM provides a comprehensive interface for the integration of translation tools. One sample implementation for DeepL is already included, other tools can be integrated with few lines of code and without requiring modifications. The respective implementation can easily be selected via customizing.

Translation process

Almost all text fields in Conigma CCM can be maintained in all defined target languages, regardless of the user's log-in language. The default language is the log-in language. Multilingual maintenance is called up using the corresponding button to the right of the field to be maintained.

In the pop-up that appears, all maintenance languages defined for the corresponding Conigma Repository can be maintained manually. As an alternative to manual maintenance, the automatic translation process is started using the corresponding button to the right of the source text for the translation (the German language in the adjacent example).

All desired target languages are selected in the popup that now appears. In this example, only English is available as a possible target language.

The result is an automatic translation that can now be revised manually.
