Handling of external Transport Requests
In Conigma it is configurable, in which status and with which permissions foreign transports can be added to a change. It is possible to add single foreign transports separately or to add several forign transports at once. When adding a change, foreign transports are imported into the selected system.
Adding a single external transport
There are three possibilities to select the external transport.
Local files
In this case you can select the transport files from the local computer.
Transport directory of a server
Here you select a source system and an order. The transport files are transferred from the transport directory of the source system.
Files are already on the server
If the files are already in the transport directory, only the transport request must be selected.
Additional settings
Target system: the development system where the external transport will be imported
Import options: the options known from STMS
Create Repack: if this flag is set, a workbench request is created in the selected target system and the objects are repacked in this new workbench request. Since external transports are often of type ToC or contain unknown transport layers, we recommend to set this flag to ensure that the transport is forwarded to the subsequent queues.
Adding several external transports
In Conigma it is also possible to configure the addition of multiple foreign transports in one step. The dialog is similar in this case, with the difference that you can select multiple requests for each selection option.
Further differences
Asynchronous execution: after "Ok" the imports are started in the background and the dialog box is closed.
Repack: you can select how the transports are repacked. You can also specify the transport target.
After "Ok" and before import a popup appears where you can determine the import order of the requests.
