Executing an import container

In Conigma CCM, an import container can be executed in three different ways:

  • manually via the user interface (direct execution)

  • scheduled for a specific time and date (scheduled execution)

  • automated in the CR process (automated simulation)

Direct execution 

In Conigma CCM,  it is possible via the corresponding context menu to execute an import container. The possibility depends on the assigned user-role and customer specific customizing. If you do not see this menu, please get in contact with your Conigma administrator.

Scheduled execution 

In the configuration of the import container, it is possibility to schedule the activation of the import container for a specific date / time / timezone.

  • Scheduled execution: click the checkbox to activate the functionality and the other fields of the box.

  • Date: day, the import container will be executed.

  • Time: time, the import container will be executed.

  • Time zone: Specify the time zone for day and time of the execution. If the field is left empty, the time and date will be taken from the server.

  • Latest date / Latest time: In some cases, the import container is unable to be executed at the requested time. Maybe multiple import containers were scheduled for the time and because import containers cannot be executed simultaneously, they are executed one after the other. The "Latest …" fields make sure that, if an import container has not been executed at the specified date and time, the scheduled execution is then cancelled.

  • Simulation: for large import container which require a lot of time and resources for the precalculation phase there is the possibility to simulate the import prior to the scheduled execution in order to spare the precalculation time during the effective execution. When clicking the "Simulation" button, a pop-up window appears where you can specify how many hours before the scheduled execution the simulation should take place. If several entries are made, the list will be processed and the simulation will be executed accordingly often.

Automated execution 

The execution of an import container is also often automated via the CR process. To insert the automated Import container execution into the CR process, please get in contact with your Conigma administrator for customizing.
