Quick installation guide

This guide describes the installation of Conigma.

Install Conigma

  • Import CONIGMA ABAP (client independent)  transport into main client on all systems to be managed with CONIGMA

  • Import CONIGMA Roles (client dependent) transport into main client and additional clients to be managed with CONIGMA on all system to be managed with CONIGMA

Create technical SAP User

Afterwards please create a technical SAP user on all systems (in each required client) with the role /GAL/CCM_CONIGMA_SYSTEM
This technical user has to be used in RFC connections. The recommended user type is Communication user.

Create RFC connections

This has to be done on your central system and the satellite systems.
Create a RFC connection from main client on central system to all other clients on all systems.
Please note the names of all connections. The names have to be used when you add systems/clients within Conigma.
Please create a loop-back connection on the central system from main client to itself. Please note the name.
Please create on each satellite system the RFC connection back to your central system and note the names.
The connection names have to be used in the next step.

Adjust TMS Configuration

Make sure that the parameter CTC is set to 1 with the "Global" checkbox unticked like:

CTC stands for Client Transport Control and represents a configuration method for transport routes. This parameter sets the specific transport routes using various clients in the system landscape.Make sure that transport routes are set up with a specific target system and client, since the client field is enabled when CTC is active.

For further instruction on how to enable "Client specific transport control", please check the corresponding SAP documentation.

Configure new central system

Please run report /GAL/CCM_ADMTOOLS_CONFIG_RESET on all systems and switch on both check boxes.

Execute the report and confirm the information box that a new release was found.
On the first screen Click ‘Next’ to continue.
On the second screen fill in the connection name to your central system. On the central system itself this is the name of your loop-back connection.

On the third screen no input is required; click ‘Next’ to continue.
On the forth screen no input is required; click ‘Next’ to continue.
On the fifth screen no input is required; click ‘Next’ to continue.
On the sixth(last) screen switch on ‘Precompilation’ checkbox; click ‘Next’ to continue.

This will take some time. After the precompilation is done, click on ‘Finish’ and leave the report.
