Content comparison of SAP systems (DevSync)

This article describes an approach to compare the contents of two SAP systems. This comparison should include both Customizing and Workbench objects.

Solution approach

The comparison of two SAP systems can be realized with the "old" interface of the standalone version of Conigma DevSync.

Carrying out the system comparison

Start the user interface of the standalone version of Conigma DevSync using the transaction code /GAL/DEVSYNC. Then click on the "System selection" option in the toolbar on the left side of the screen.

Select the source system, the target system and the corresponding clients. Depending on the plugins used, this interface can be displayed differently and, for example, expect RFC destinations as input.

Then click on the toolbar entry "Selection criteria".

Here you can restrict the object selection e.g. with the help of a Conigma Repository object. For more information, please refer to the Conigma DevSync documentation. Now select "Object selection" from the toolbar.

Then start the system comparison by clicking the button

The result list now shows all deviating objects with corresponding additional information on the status. The symbols are to be interpreted as follows:

You can use the context menu to perform an object comparisons for workbench objects and, if logged on to the target client of the adjustment, also for customizing objects.
