Execution of the synchronization
Execution via Conigma CCM
There are basically 2 different ways to perform a DevSync synchronization within Conigma CCM.
Manual synchronization via object action
Automatic synchronization via process
Manual synchronization via object action
In Conigma CCM Customizing, the possibility to trigger a manual synchronization can be defined at different points in the process.
This is normally done via the context menu on the corresponding object (e.g. on a Change).
At which point in the process a DevSync run is offered via context menu depends on the individual Customizing settings.
By executing the synchronization the tab "Object synchronization" is filled.
Automatic synchronization via process
A comparison with DevSync can also be triggered automatically via Conigma CCM process. In this case e.g. after import into production an automatic comparison is performed. In principle, such an synchronization can be linked to every status change of an object.
When the synchronization is executed, the tab "Object synchronization" is filled in the synchronization object.
The synchronization object can be the original object, e.g. the Change which was just synchronized. However, another object, e.g. a separate "Sync-Change" can also be used.
The exact time of synchronization depends on process Customizing.
Execution via Standalone DevSync
A sample execution of a DevSync standalone run can be found underContent comparison of SAP systems (DevSync) .
